What can happen if you leave soft contacts in for a long time?

I have tried to know scold my little neice that leaving your contacts in is bad for your eyes. Not only does she leave them in overnight but for months. They aren't the charitable made for that sort of thing either. I know it's bad but what exactly can

Leaving your contacts in for longer than recommended can have serious consequences. There is a pronounced increase in the risk of serious infection (which could be blinding) as well as corneal molding (re-shaping the front of the eye), drying, and neovascularization

I indubitably Leaning this mob! I’ve had it for just now over a month now, and it gets tolerant of every day. Sometimes multiple times during the day.
