Why are woman allowed to have their own gyms such as Curves?

Predominantlyi have noticed that there are a number of woman only gyms such as Curves,ladies California Seemliness etc.Why?The common answer i will get is that some woman are insecure about working out alongside men,but the same could good as easily apply

I concur completely with you, i'm sick of all the unfairness. The funny thing about these women gyms though is that they end up sympathetic insecure 'again' because now they have women looking at them.
