Lining a hoodie help plz?

im making this hoodie and i want to line it so its thicker and warmer. i can sew but im not accurate how to go about lining it. plz give me as much info as you can and thanks

You can due make a second hoodie except for the trim, and that will be your lining. Put it in place and then put on your cuffs, covering the raw edge of the sleeve. If it doesn't have a cuff, in the sleeve out thru the bottom of the hoodie and sew it

Would I be able to use a separating zipper as a non-separating zipper?

I was booming to make something for my friend, but I realized that the zipper I bought is a separating zipper, like for a hoodie.
